زمینه و هدف: بیماران سالمند تحت همودیالیز در معرض خطر بیشتری برای سقوط و پیامدهای مهم آن هستند. سقوط میتواند منجر به ترس فرد از تجربه سقوط بعدی شود. هنوز اطلاعات کمی در مورد ترس از سقوط در این جمعیت پرخطر وجود دارد. این مطالعه با هدف تعیین ترس از سقوط و عوامل مرتبط با آن در سالمندان تحت دیالیز ناشی از سقوط مراجعهکننده به بیمارستانهای شهر تهران در سال 1400 انجام شد.
روش بررسی: پژوهش حاضر یک پژوهش توصیفی ـ مقطعی بود که روی 197 سالمندان تحت دیالیز مراجعهکننده به بیمارستانهای شهر تهران در سال 1400 انجام شد. بیماران به شیوه نمونهگیری در دسترس انتخاب شدند. موارد بررسیشده شامل مشخصات جمعیتشناختی، ترس از سقوط بود. دادهها با استفاده از آمار توصیفی و استنباطی، از طریق نرمافزار SPSS نسخه 21 تجزیه و تحلیل شد.
یافتهها: میانگین سن افراد 12/8±02/70 و بیشتر نمونهها را مردان (5/63 درصد) تشکیل میدادند. میانگین ترس از سقوط 54/13±29/35 و در حد بالا بود. بین ترس از سقوط و اطلاعات جمعیتشناختی ارتباط معناداری وجود داشت (05/0>P).
نتیجهگیری: فراوانی ترس از سقوط در سالمندانی که سابقه سقوط تحت همودیالیز داشتند، در سطح قابلتوجهی بالاتر بوده است. در سالمندان تحت دیالیز، ترس از سقوط به احتمال زیاد در بروز زمین خوردن نقش دارد. مطالعات آینده باید کاهش ترس از سقوط را به عنوان یک اقدام پیشگیرانه برای سقوط در سالمندان تحت دیالیز بررسی کند.
