Objective: This study aims to explain the methods of improving learning in viewpoint of operating room students.
Methods: Present qualitative analytical study is of contractual content type that was conducted on 15 operating room students in the Medical Sciences University of Hamedan in 2021. Sampling was done purposefully and semi-structured interview was used to collect the data.
Results: Using the analysis of the interviews, four main groups of factors were extracted as influential factors in improving learning in operating room students: characteristics of clinical trainer (scientific knowledge of the trainer, ethical and behavioral characteristics, and managerial characteristics), using appropriate teaching methods (using new and scientific methods, using modern education methods, practical instruction of skills and acquiring experience), supporting students mentally and emotionally ( creating learning opportunities for students, inducing sense of trust in students, inducing sense of value in students, and behaving students professionally and appropriately), availability of hospital educational amenities and equipment (paying attention to clinical amenities and consumer items, and the welfare amenities of the hospital).
Conclusion: Results of present study showed that the characteristics of the clinical trainer, using appropriate teaching methods, supporting students mentally and emotionally, and educational equipment of the hospital are effective on students learning.
