زمینه و هدف: بیماری‌های دهان و دندان خصوصاً پوسیدگی‌ها و بیماری پریودنتال، از شایع‌ترین بیماری‌های مردم جهان به شمار می‌روند. این مطالعه با هدف تعیین عوامل مرتبط با رفتار مسواک زدن در دانش‌آموزان براساس الگوی اعتقاد بهداشتی صورت گرفت.
روش بررسی: مطالعه حاضر از نوع توصیفی‌مقطعی بود و نمونه‌گیری به‌صورت طبقه‌بندی تصادفی در 2 طبقه مدارس دخترانه و پسرانه بر روی 400 دانش‌آموز پایه نهم مدارس دولتی شهری 6 شهرستان در شرق استان گیلان در سال 1401 انجام شد. ابزار مورد استفاده پرسش‌نامه محقق‌ساخته روا و پایا شامل مشخصات جمعیت‌شناختی، آگاهی، سازه‌های الگوی اعتقاد بهداشتی و رفتار مسواک زدن بود. داده‌ها در نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه 23 با استفاده از آزمون‌های مربع کای و ضریب همبستگی خطی پیرسون تحلیل شدند. جهت برآورد ارتباط تعدیل‌شده از مدل رگرسیون چند‌متغیره لجستیک استفاده شد.
یافته‌ها: بین وضعیت رفتار مطلوب مسواک زدن با نمرات آگاهی (15/‌r=0)، سازه‌های خودکارآمدی (25/r=0) و منافع درک‌شده (22/r=0) همبستگی خطی مستقیم و ضعیف و بین رفتار با سازه موانع درک‌شده (24/r=-0) همبستگی معکوس و معنی‌دار مشاهده شد. بر‌اساس تحلیل رگرسیون لجستیک با تعدیل سن و وضعیت اقتصادی‌اجتماعی، متغیرهای آگاهی (21/1-02/1:CI 95%،1/11=OR)، خودکارآمدی (51/1-05/1:CI 95%،1/10=OR) و موانع درک‌شده (99/0-95/0:CI 95%،0/97=OR) ارتباط مستقل و معنی‌دار با رفتار مطلوب مسواک زدن داشتند.
نتیجه‌گیری: با‌توجه‌به میزان پایین رفتار مطلوب مسواک زدن و همچنین میانگین نمره کم آگاهی، لازم است به‌منظور تأمین، حفظ و ارتقای بهداشت دهان و دندان دانش‌آموزان مداخلات لازم صورت گیرد.
