Abstract
Context and purpose: negative emotion is an unpleasant feeling that has a huge impact on the lives and mental health of people in society. Attachment and lack of communication with others play a role in emotional regulation and in chronic physical diseases. In this regard, the present study was conducted with the aim of modeling negative emotions based on attachment styles and the mediating role of loneliness in inflammatory bowel patients.
Method: the present study was a descriptive study of the correlation method. The statistical research community of all inflammatory-intestinal patients in Qom province was in 1401 when 150 people were selected as research samples by targeted sampling method. Participants completed questionnaires for Personality Type D, attachment styles, feelings of loneliness. Structural equations were used to analyze data using SPSS and pls software. The results of the structural equation test showed that the research model had a favorable fit.
Results: the test results showed that the mediating role of loneliness in the relationship between two styles of safe attachment and anxiety with negative emotions was confirmed (0.05>p).
Conclusion: Overall, the findings showed that safe attachment styles and anxiety directly and mediating loneliness affected negative emotions, and avoidance attachment styles directly affected negative emotions. The study of Total Effects (total direct and indirect effects) showed that anxiety attachment styles with a factor of 0.613 and safe attachment styles with a factor of - 0.417 had the greatest impact on negative emotions.
