Abstract
Objectives: The present study was to predict the anxiety caused by the spread of monkeypox based on the attitude towards fertility and childbearing and the attitude towards death in pregnant women.
Method: The current research design was a descriptive-correlational research. The statistical population of this study includes all pregnant women referring to the health centers of Zabul city, whose volume was 5321 people, which was estimated as a sample of 368 people using Cochran's formula and an error of 5%. To collect data, the scale of attitude towards death, the scale of attitude towards fertility and childbearing, the monkey pox anxiety scale developed by the researcher were used, and finally the data obtained using SPPS software (version 26) and with step-by-step linear regression test and Pearson correlation was analyzed.
Findings: The results of the multiple correlation coefficient was equal to 0.746, also the beta value related to the regression analysis of acceptance or avoidance, neutral acceptance, active acceptance and having children as obstacles were 0.283, 0.280, 0.312, and 198 respectively. 0/, they predict anxiety caused by monkey pox.
Conclusion: The results of this research showed that the attitude towards death and having children can predict the perceived anxiety caused by monkeypox disease. Therefore, cognitive intervention can be done to improve these variables.
