Abstract: (288 Views)
Dengue fever is an arboviral disease that is transmitted by Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitoes, prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions of the world, including Iran. This disease has become a global challenge, particularly in countries with weak infrastructure, due to factors such as deficiencies in healthcare systems, climate change, and the movement of infected individuals and goods. Although most cases of dengue fever are mild or asymptomatic, in some instances, it can lead to severe manifestations and even death. To combat this disease, a multifaceted approach is necessary, including reducing mosquito breeding sites, controlling their population, and efforts aimed at public education to prevent bites and the spread of the disease. Community involvement plays a crucial role in controlling potential dengue epidemics through increased public awareness, encouraging the elimination of mosquito habitats, as well as strengthening reporting and educational systems.
