Background and Objectives: The internal evaluation is the process of examining the status of the academic system by the faculty members themselves. This project aims to make educators and faculty members more aware of the department goals and to make appropriate planning for evaluation of the educational process of the department as well as improvement of quality of future activities. In this research, the internal evaluation was conducted in Department of Environmental Health Engineering of the Qom University of Medical Sciences.
 
Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was performed in School of Public Health of Qom University of Medical Sciences in 2017. Sampling method was census and evaluation was performed in the fields of mission and educational goals, management and organization, faculty members' educational capabilities, curriculum, department, graduates, physical environment of the faculty, library, and computer unit. Data were collected using the opinions of faculty members of the departments and students through a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics.
 
Results: According to the results, the highest level of satisfaction was found to be 83.3% in the field of management and organization of the department (the head of department) and the field of research capabilities of faculty members, and the highest level of dissatisfaction reported to be 65% in the graduates and their employment status.
 
Conclusion: The results of this research revealed that Qom Department of Environmental Health Engineering has achieved a favorable status in most of the fields. However, appropriate planning seems necessary for continuous improvement of education quality and elimination of deficiencies.
